Inventec Rainbow Tegra Smartbook

Inventec, one of the Taiwan OEM makers, shows us the Rainbow, a Smartbook based on NVIDIA’s Tegra platform. The 10-inch Rainbow is boosted by a NVIDIA Tegra 600 600MHz processor, 256MB RAM and 256MB  flash memory. It get a 10.1-inch 1024×576  LCD display and supports 80.211b/g and HSPA or EVDO connectivity.

The Inventec Rainbow is also equipped with built-in receiver and DTV digital TV tuner. Thanks to the power-saving Tegra, the Rainbow offers 240 hours of standby and is able to playback 720p HD continuosly for 6 hours. The smartbook runs CE 6.x OS.

Inventec is also planning two more Smartbooks for H1 2010, the slim Miranda and the touchscreen Samantha.

iRex to launch 3G e-book Reader

In addition to color e-reader, iRex is also preparing its e-book reader with connectivity, according to cnet. The reader will have a 8.1-inch touchscreen e-ink panel with a stylus. The reader is expected to come in Fall 2009.

Atlona is going to launch in September its AT-DP200, a DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter. The Atlona AT-DP200 DVI works with all Macs and PCs with DVI output and supports up to 1920×1200 resolution. The converter can even maintain the HDCP compatibility.

Atlona AT-DP200 has a DVI female input connector and a Mini DisplayPort connector. It is priced at $179.

Archos 2 Vision PMP Detailed

is planning to launch the Archos 2 Vision portable media player. The credit-card sized PMP features a touch-sensitive horizontal slider for scrolling through music and volume control. It has a 2-inch 220×176 color display, 8GB or 16GB internal memory and a microSD card slot for expansion. It supports MP3 and WMA audio and AVI formats.

The Vision includes also FM tuner and voice recorder. The 8GB version will cost 60 Euro while the 16GB will be priced at about 90 Euro.
