
NEC adds to its NP series the NP4100W wide-aspect professional installation projector, designed for large venues. Compare to its sibling, the NP4100, NEC’s new NP4100W offers a large resolution at 1280×800 in 16:10 aspect ratio.
The NP4100W features a 2100:1 contrast ratio, 5500 ANSI lumens brightness, AutoSense that automatically syncs with any computer signal, DynamicBlack that improves the black level of video and the BrilliantColor, which increases system brightness and color saturation while optimizing color gain across the full color gamut. There is ECO mode that can extend lamp life by up to 25%.
NEC’s NP4100W is compatible as either dual- or single-lamp operation, which provides redundancy in the event that one lamp fails. It offers Ethernet LAN connector and DVI-D with HDCP, RCA, s-video, component, 15-pin and BNC inputs. NP4100W will be shipped in September for $5499.

Olympus announced the new E-600 entry-level digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera that can be considered as a lite version of the E-620 without backlit buttons, multiple exposures, aspect ratios and comes with few art filters.

Olympus E-600, based on the FourThirds system,packs a 12.3 Megapixel image sensor and TruePic III+ image processor. The E-600 features in-body image stabilization, four-frames-per-second burst speed, in-camera Art Filters, Face Detection technology and a 2.7-inch swivel Live View HyperCrystal III LCD display. The camera accpets CF, UDMA,MicroDrive and xD memory cards.
Olympus’ E-600 includes also Dust Reduction System to produce spot-free photos with the Supersonic Wave Filter. The ultrasonic technology vibrates to remove dust and other particles from the front of the image sensor and captures it on a special adhesive membrane every time the camera is turned on.
To be released in early November 2009, the Olympus E-600 will be available as a kit set with ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens. The price will be $599.99.

Samsung officially announced in Korea its YP-R1 portable media player that we’ve seen previously. One of the features of the Samsung R1 is the Beat DJ function that allows users to add their own voice and sound effects to their favorite songs. Users can also ’scratch’ records on the super-clear 2.6” display to create personalized music.

The Samsung YP-R1 features a 2.6-inch touchscreen and includes the TouchWiz UI that is found on Samsung’s touchscreen phone most of the time. The R1 has 8GB or 16GB internal memory. It supports most media formats including DivX video.
The Samsung YP-R1 Beat DJ PMP will be released in Europe in September, with other markets including Russia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan to follow.

Coby is going to release the NMPC1220XPBLK, its first netbook that comes in Black. The 12.1-inch netbook is boosted by the popular Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive. It packs a 12.1-inch 1024×80 LCD display.
The Coby NMPC1220XPBLK is available for pre-order on Amazon for $423.99. There is also the 10-inch NBPC1022XPBLK that costs $318.

Japanese firm Kumazaki-Aim introduces the NRT-350 portable projector that comes with integrated DVD player. The two-in-one device features 640×480 VGA resolution, 300:1 contrast ratio and 200 lumens brightness thanks to its 30W LED light.
The Kumazaki-Aim NRT-350 plays standard CD, CD-RW, VCD, DVD, DVD-R/RW as well as MP3, WMA, AVI, DivX, XviD and JPEG files from CD or DVD media. It has built-in 3Wx2 speakers and a SD/MMC card slot. The projector has VGA and S-video input and 3.5mm audio output.
Kumazaki-Aim NRT-350 is priced at 59800 Yen, including a 60-inch screen.
