
While Archos is going to announce its Android-based device in mid-September, retailer B&H has posted a new line of Archos 5 internet tablet that is probably running Android. In total there are four models, the 16GB SSD version costs $294, 32GB SSD for $370, 160GB hard drive for $320 and 500GB hard drive for $420.
Also included is the Archos DVR station that costs $129.95.

Parrot presents the new RKi8400 car stereo unit that is compatible with iPhone and iPod. The head unit comes with a 2.4-inch color display and a numeric pad. It supports Bluetooth 2.0+EDR with Stereo A2DP, Handsfree and Headset profiles so you can use it as a Bluetooth handsfree system.
The Parrot RKi8400 can connect to iPod, iPhone or USB MP3 players using the bundle music cable for music playback. The unit can also stream audio from any Bluetooth A2DP devices and play music from USB storage or SD cards. It packs 4×50W MOSFET amplifiers, external adjustable double microphone with Parrot NR 3.0 noise reduction and echo cancellation. FM/AM tuners are also available.

Samsung announced the WB5000, a super-zoom camera with a Schneider-KREUZNACH lens that offers an impressive 24x optical zoom with a 26mm wide-angle. The WB5000 is a 12.5 Megapixel prosumer-level digital camera.
Samsung WB5000 offers a color electronic viewfinder (EVF) and a three-inch LCD screen for users to frame their images. It includes Face Recognition, Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Detection and Samsung’s Beauty Shot. The super-zoom camera is able to record 1920×720p HD video in H.264 format. It offers the option to shoot in RAW (DNG1.1), JPEGs, or both.
Samsung WB5000 will be released later this month for about $550.

Garmin announced the new Edge 500 sleek, lightweight GPS-based cycling computer for performance-driven cyclists. The Edge 500 features a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix that quickly acquires and maintains satellite reception. It tracks speed, distance, time, GPS position, elevation, calories burned, climb and descent. A barometric altimeter is also included to pinpoint changes in elevation.
Garmin’s Edge 500 can connect wirelessly with ANT+ compatible third-party power meters or pair wirelessly with Garmin speed/cadence sensors and features advanced heart rate-based calorie computation when used with a Garmin heart rate monitor. The device comes with a low-profile, quarter-turn mount that fits easily on the stem or handlebars. It is IPX7 certified for waterproof and has up 18 hours of battery life.
Once your ride’s done, connect Edge 500 to your computer with the included USB cable to analyze your performance. You can also participate in Garmin Connect, a one-stop site for data analysis and sharing. Garmin Edge 500 will be released in Q4 for $249.99, or $349.99 when bundled with a heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor.

NEC announced the MultiSync EA190M, a 19-inch standard-aspect ratio desktop LCD display designed for a variety of business environments, government applications and education users.

NEC MultiSync EA190M features 1280×1024 resolution, 250cd/m2 brightness, 900:1 contrast ratio and 5ms Rapid Response. It comes with a 4-way ergonomic stand providing height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot capabilities.
The EA190M contains 50% less mercury than traditional LCD monitors and offers Two-step ECO Mode for significant power consumption savings up to 50%. It will be released this month for $259.
