Pioneer presents the BDR-S05J, the first 12X Blu-ray burner. The device supports up to 12x recording on 6x BD-R SL and DL discs by Panasonic and 10x or 6x on other BD-R discs. It writes on BD-R LTH discs at 6x, BD-RE/RE DL at 2x, DVD+/-R at 16x and DVD+/-RW/DL a 8X. DVD-RAM and CD-R/RW are also supportd.
The Pioneer BDR-S05J-BK has 4MB buffer memory and uses SATA interface. It includes a dustproof structure that keeps dust away from the internal of the drive’s case, as well as Pioneer’s Disc-Resonance Stabiliser technology. There are also PowerRead and “PURE READ 2″ function, to compensate the digital noise introduced when a scratched or dusty audio CD is reproduced.
The Pioneer BDR-S05J-BK will be available in October for 38,000 Yen. It is available in White (BDR-S05J-W) and Black (BDR-S05J-BK). The company will also offer an OEM version, the BDR-205, in the overseas markets.

Nokia’s Booklet 3G is the cellphone maker’s first netbook. The device is based on Atom and offers 3G/HSPA and WiFi mobile connectivity. The Booklet 3G is ultra portable at just 1.25kg and has an aluminum chassis. It provides up to 12 hours of usage thanks to the 16-cell Li-Ion prismatic, removable battery pack.

Magellan, part of MiTAC, introduces the RoadMate 1700 GPS navigation device that comes with a 7-inch WVGA touchscreen display. The RoadMate 1700 features highway lane assistance, spoken street name guidance, multi-destination routing with route optimization, and integrated AAA TourBook guide travel information.
Magellan’s new GPS device is pre-loaded with maps of the 50 United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. It has mini USB 2.0 port and a Micro SD card slot. There is a video-In jack for connecting an iPod or other video source to watch video on the bright 7-inch display.
The Magellan RoadMate 1700 is priced at $299.

Mio launches the Moov M400 and M300 GPS navigation devices. Both devices are pre-loaded with maps of 50 US states and Puerto Rico and over 4 million points of interest. They featurs text-to-speech, Lane Guidance and NavPix Photo Navigation that navigatoes to locations from geo-tagged photos.
The Moov M400 and M300 gets a 4.3-inch and 3.5-inch touchscreen display respectively. The integrated rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides up to 2 hours of usage. The M400 is priced at $149.99 and the M300 at $119.99.
