Acer is going to release this holiday season the new Aspire AS8940G-6865 Core i7-based notebook PC. This new Aspire laptop is boosted by an Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS250M graphics card.
The 18.4-inch Aspire AS8940G-6865 packs a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive and a 4X Blu-ray/DVD combo drive. It’s 18.4-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit display has 1920×1080p Full HD resolution. The notebook includes support for 802.11a/b/g/n, an Acer CrystalEye webcam, a multi-in-1 media card reader, a HDMI port and an eSATA port.
Acer’s Aspire AS8940G-6865 is equipped with a 5-speaker Acer CineSurround Sound System and features Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement. The machine offers also a Touch-Capacitive Media Control Interface. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Priced at $1349.99, a 8-cell battery is included.
TAG Heuer announced the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini limited edition luxury phone. Housed in black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel, the design of the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone references the super sports car down to its famed signature on the battery cover – the same as on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640’s V12 engine block. The back of the device is engraved with its limited edition number while the keyboard is customized with Automobili Lamborghini’s trademark Taurus bull on the steel central button.
As a mobile phone, the MERIDIIST features a 1.9-inch 240×320 LCD display and a OLED top screen. It gets a 2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, USB connector, and 2GB of internal memory. The MERIDIIST is capable of video recording and playback and has built-in media player and image viewer. It supports quad-band GSM/GPRS networks.
