Following Acer, Asus introduces two new 3D notebooks, the G51J3D and G72GX designed for gamers. The former gets a 15.6-inch 3D display while the latter has a 17.3-inch 3D screen. According to Reghardware, these notebooks are boosted by Intel Core i7 processor, 4GB of memory and dual 320GB hard drive. The G51J3D packs a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX160M.
The Asus G51J3D will be released next month while the larger G72GX will come in Q2 2010.

Planon Systems introduces the DocuPen Xtreme X-series line of scanning pens, including the X05, X10 and X50. All these portable scanning pens are powered by a 200MHz processor and 64MB of memory. They offer image resolution up to 600dpi (1200dpi for X50).
The X-series X05 and X10 can scan in monochrome and 24-bit color modes; the X50 has extra features including higher resolution and grey scale modes. They have an OLED display and supports Bluetooth connectivity for connecting to smartphone, notebook/netbook wirelessly.
The DocuPen Xtreme X-Series offers USB 2.0 port for charing the built-in Lithium-Polymer battery and USB storage function. microSD is also supported. The X05, X10 and X50 are priced at $369.99, $389.99 and $439.99 respectively.

Japanese company Hyper Gear introduces a new portable e-book reader that includes HGSEALED encryption function for protect your files with DRM or password. The reader comes with a 6-inch 800×600 e-ink display. It will be released on late December 2009 for 39800 Yen.

Taiwanese company Team Group announced the new P2 series (S25P02) IDE Solid State Drive (SSD). Unlike most new SSDs, the P2 uses the 44 Pin IDE interface and comes in 2.5-inch form factor.
Team Group’s P2, based on MLC flash memory, is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. It offers up to 80MB/s of read and 50MB/s of write speeds.
