According to Digitimes, Toshiba will announced later a dual-screen notebook codenamed GuideBook that has two 7-inch displays. No details of the device are mentioned but I would expect a tablet or an e-book reader from Toshiba.

NVIDIA Ion 2 GPU Officially Announced

NVIDIA officially announced its next generation Ion 2 graphics processor, like the original Ion, designed for netbooks, nettops and all-in-one PCs. Based on the GeForce G210 GPU, the Ion 1 offers 10 times faster graphics performance than standard netbooks and up to 10 hours of battery life in , according to NVIDIA.

The Ion 2 is capable of HD playback. It supports NVIDIA’s Optimus that automatically switch between the Pine Trail platform’s integrated GMA 3150 graphics and the Ion 2 GPU.

Acer’s 10-inch Aspire One 532G, the 12-inch Asus Eee PC 1201PN and Asus EeeTop 2010PNT and Lenovo C200 all-in-ones are the first devices to get the Ion 2. Some more Ion 2-powered PCs from AOpen, AsRock, Asus, Foxconn, J&W, Pegatron, POV, Shuttle, and Zotac will be released later.

Sony Vaio M surfaces… unofficially

Well, what do we have here? It’s the Sony Vaio M series , as yet unannounced but sitting here getting detailed all the same. The 10.1-inch , which looks, well, pretty much identical to the Vaio W series, is apparently going to boast a 1.66GHz Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a 250GB , plus 802.11 b/g/n, , and a built-in webcam. There’s no pricing information or dates of availability for these bad boys yet, but there’s one more shot after the break to gander at — if you’re so inclined.
