MSI announced its FX400 multimedia notebook, part of the F-series, with cinema-class THX surround sound. The classy and stylish FX400 has a new raised totem seal coating o prevent against scratching and smudging.

Boosted by Intel Core i5 processor, the FX400 packs DDR3 memory and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT325M graphcis card with 1GB video memory. It has up to 500GB 2.5-inch hard drive, a 2-in-1 card reader and a DVD SuperMulti burner. As a multimedia notebook, it features a 13-inch HD LCD display, THX TruStudio PC surround sound, built-in two theater class speakers and the Cinema Pro technology for better video viewing experience. It also includes the Turbo Drive Engine to accelerate CPU performance.

Micron’s Crucial launches its RealSSD SSD Data Transfer Kit that includes a C300 solid state drive in either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB capacities. The kit is designed for users to migrate from traditional hard drive to a C300 SSD easily, for improved boot up and application load times.

This Data Transfer Kit includes the SSD, a SATA-to-USB data cable, and cloning software. Users simply connects the the SATA-to-USB cable to the RealSSD and the USB port on a notebook, run the cloning software tand then swap out the old drive with the new Crucial RealSSD.

64GB bundle is priced at $169.99, 128GB at $419.99 and 256GB at $769.99.

Sparkle Computer announced its new Calibre X480 graphics card, equipped with the Accelero Xtreme Cooling Solution from Arctic Cooling, “providing the world’s fastest DX11 performance to gamers unbeatable cooling effects.”

The wait for a legitimate mass market Windows 7 tablet continues, but at least MSI is showing signs of progress. The WindPad 100, which we saw at Computex in prototype form, has now reached design maturity and the concordant gallery of pictures has been distributed to the world. There’s no word of any spec changes, meaning we’re still looking at a 1.66GHz Atom Z530 CPU, 32GB SSD, 2GB RAM, Wind Touch UI overlay, and HDMI plus 2x USB ports on the stat sheet. The 100 has been joined by a new dock in these latest images, which will throw in the typical expanded connectivity options. We can probably expect to see both reappearing at IFA in Berlin in about a month’s time.

If a set of supposedly leaked slides are legitimate (and they sure look convincing to us) then the shape of Intel’s dirt-brown 2011 plans has finally been revealed. As you can see immediately above, Chipzilla’s 25nm flash process is just about ready to double the size of the company’s award-winning consumer SSDs, bring up to 400GB of “enterprise-grade” multi-level cell memory to the enterprise space, and create a series of netbook-sized mini-SATA drives with the remains of the 34nm silicon.

On the processor front things are a little more iffy, but it seems safe to say that the naming scheme has changed, as the silicon wafers you’ll slot into a Q67 Express motherboard will have an extra digit (and often a letter) affixed to the end. Instead of a Core i7-870, you’ll see the likes of Core i7-2600, i7-2600S, i7-2600K and i5-2500T, with the K (as in the past) affording you an unlocked multiplier for overclocking and the S equaling reduced power consumption, or vastly reduced for the T models. German publication ComputerBase — which found and subsequently pulled the slides — somehow managed to dig up nearly full specs for desktop and laptop CPUs as well, and though we can’t verify their legitimacy, you’re welcome to marvel at the idea of a 3.5GHz processor running on just 35 watts by visiting the source link below.

From this week onwards, Cricket will deliver the EC1705 device for $64.99. That amount is not all about hardware thought, as it will be paired with a variety of unlimited, all-inclusive broadband service plan options. When launched, the device will be available in Cricket branded retail stores and dealers in select cities including Chicago, Denver, St. Louis, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego, San Antonio, South Texas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh and www.mycricket.com, as well as being slated to arrive in all Cricket retail outlets in due time. This sleek-looking modem will play nice with the following Windows versions – Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, not to mention Mac OS X10.4.11 to 10.6.3 (both 32 and 64 bit) as well. Interestingly enough, the EC1705 is no ordinary modem as it will be accompanied by 32MB of hard drive space and 128MB of memory.

Depending on your daily surfing needs as well as budget, you can choose from a plan that hails anywhere from $40 to $60 per month, where all of them will be able to offer download speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps. Not only that, customers will be receiving the newly announced “true rate” plans, which will let you enjoy a flat-rate monthly service charge with taxes included, sans applicable local sales tax of course. Just make sure your usage level does not exceed 7.5GB monthly, but the average person will rarely exceed that anyways.

MSI launches its GT660 series notebook PCs in the US. Two models will be released, the GT660R-003 and the GT660R-004, both equipped with Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz processor, 6GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX285M with 1GB video RAM, 500GB hard drive. They have 16-inch LCD display and supports WiFi.

NVIDIA officially announced its next generation Ion 2 graphics processor, like the original Ion, designed for netbooks, nettops and all-in-one PCs. Based on the GeForce G210 GPU, the Ion 1 offers 10 times faster graphics performance than standard netbooks and up to 10 hours of battery life in netbook, according to NVIDIA.

The Ion 2 is capable of HD video playback. It supports NVIDIA’s Optimus technology that automatically switch between the Intel Pine Trail platform’s integrated GMA 3150 graphics and the Ion 2 GPU.

Acer’s 10-inch Aspire One 532G, the 12-inch Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook and Asus EeeTop 2010PNT and Lenovo C200 all-in-ones are the first devices to get the Ion 2. Some more Ion 2-powered PCs from AOpen, AsRock, Asus, Foxconn, J&W, Pegatron, POV, Shuttle, and Zotac will be released later.

Well, what do we have here? It’s the Sony Vaio M series netbook, as yet unannounced but sitting here getting detailed all the same. The 10.1-inch netbook, which looks, well, pretty much identical to the Sony Vaio W series, is apparently going to boast a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a 250GB hard drive, plus 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and a built-in webcam. There’s no pricing information or dates of availability for these bad boys yet, but there’s one more shot after the break to gander at — if you’re so inclined.
